I have 2 rovers that are in alpha base that are waiting for maintenance. they are currently reserved and set as maintenance in progress, so are not usable, but no-one is repairing them. they dont require any parts to be repaired but have been sitting in the garage for several months.

In a similar fashion, 2 of my crew have missions assigned in their mission section but there are no active missions. they are not assignable in missions, but are still working and living normally.

      Those both sound like bugs.

Rovers shouldn't be in a reserved state unless they are assigned to a mission, and they shouldn't be undergoing maintenance while assigned to a mission either.  Sounds like those rovers are in a catch-22 situation where no one will maintain them because they are reserved, and they can't be taken out on a mission because they are in maintenance.

I've seen the second bug before and I'm not sure if it's fixed or not.  I made a number of mission bug fixes for version 2.83 and this bug might have gotten fixed along with them.

Unfortunately mission bugs like these are hard to replicate.  Before we release version 2.83, I will run through a lot of simulations and look for any bugs or anything situations out of the ordinary.  I'll see if these two bugs pop up again.

      Thank you for the feedback,

I was thinking some more about this and I was mistaken about the rover issue.

Rovers are also be reserved for maintenance, not just missions.  So the fact that the rovers were marked as reserved as they were in a maintenance state is correct and not a bug.  For whatever reason (and perhaps due to a bug), the people in the settlement were not choosing to work on the two rovers.  Perhaps other tasks just had priority for them.  It's hard to say.  Often most of the people at a settlement are away on missions and the few that remain are busy keeping up the building maintenance and greenhouse crops while the others are gone.

Anyway, I'll keep an eye out for rovers that seem to be stuck in maintenance as I'm testing version 2.83 before release.

      Thanks,

      Scott

The rover maintenance issue was actually a bug.  I was just able to replicate the problem and fixed it so it will work properly in version 2.83.

The bug only happened when a rover is being maintained in a garage, and Alpha Base is the only settlement that has a garage in the default simulation.  It's garage can hold two vehicles at a time and can be used for maintenance or loading/unloading for a mission.  The bug was that the garaged vehicle was only being worked on by the person who first put it in the garage, then nobody continued to work on it so it was stuck there.

I fixed the code so people will properly work on the maintenance of rovers in the garage.  I've tested it out and everything looks good now.

      Thanks for finding this bug.
