	Digital Camera Albums Manipulation.
	-----------------------------------

  Aim.
  ---
This software intends to help you manage digital camera pictures.
There are three ways to view personal pictures:
    - album view (the pictures from a memory card),
    - thematic view (such as "my holidays in Japan"),
    - people view (all the pictures with John).
This software helps you create the "database" that associates the pictures with
the people and theme you defined, then generates static HTML pages with
all the required indexes. Thus, you can share your pictures with friends not willing
(or able) to install the software.
This is a main issue for this software: the user is not emprisoned in the software,
  it is just a help.

  Installation and Requirements.
  ------------------------------
This software is written in Perl using the Perl-Tk module as well as Tk::JPEG.
You also need the JPEG library and executables jpegtran, rdjpgcom and wrjpgcom.
The program should work on any Unix, Linux and Windows. It should work on
a Macintosh as well if you can install the libraries. Currently tested platforms are
  HPUX 10.20, Linux Mandrake 7.1 and 7.2, Windows 95 OSR2.

On a Unix system, it is assumed you installed ImageMagick with the
'montage' executable. For the moment, you should have "play" to listen
to the comments associated with a person on a Linux platform.

You should have perl, perl-tk, jpeg-6b lib and ImageMagick ready as RPMs
in any Linux distribution. You must get the Tk::JPEG module on CPAN.
You can find perl, perl-tk and Tk::JPEG at www.activestate.com for Windows.

Once you have installed these above libraries and binaries, you can
run ./xmari.pl from the bin directory included with this software.
  You are ready.

You should have 32 MB RAM for normal operation of this program, 16 MB could be
OK if you have an optimized OS (such as a minimum install of Windows 95 with no
  local area network).

  Todo.

A Wav Recorder on a Linux platform.
Improve the mari.pl program, custom it or rewrite it...
  Any suggestions are welcome.
