I've attempted to tackle the problem of piping 2D graphics
through OpenGL once again, only to experience even more frustration
with this. Part of the purpose of doing this is to provide better
support for 3dfx cards, which do not do 2D/3D really well.
I had attempted to create a buffer texture and copy the 2D
graphics onto that texture and then render it, but something very
The first time I use it it's OK, but the other times produce
nothing but white (the backing color). Thus, I get to see the first
third of the HUD, with the rest of it white. Also, the automap is
nothing but white, though I sometimes get a glimpse of the intended
graphics when I enter map mode.
I've tried probing whether the texture ID is valid and the
dimensions of the read-in texture, but those are all OK. Could
something else be going wrong?
