Currently, in SDL, when saving a game, double clicking on the name, or attempting to select the name with the mouse, does not work. You have to manually delete each character. The other problem is that the sound chosen to play when deleting a character is being selected from the scenario Sounds file. For some scenarios, that might happen to be a decent sound for character deletion, but in EMR it plays a long dinosaur scream sound. This should be a fixed sound (scenario indepedent), or no sound, or a sound that we can alter via MML.

FWIW you can delete the entire field by typing control-U
In SVN, it's now possible to modify dialog sounds using MML.
