Dear Mantis Development Team, I recently discovered Mantis 0.18.x and have been using it ever since. As an open source project it has been an exceptionally cost effective solution and I have been able to benefit from it in multiple levels. Now I thought about giving something back i.e. making a minor contribution to the project in terms of the Finnish localization. By no means my intention is not to belittle the work of the localizer, but in my opinion the quality of it may not be as high as it should. I don't have the numbers of users actually using the Finnish version, but after trying it out, I've discovered several illogical phrases and e.g. word forms that do not sound correct to a native speaker of Finnish in spite of the fact that the localization was made by a Finn. Not to mention the fact that there are a number of translated strings missing (at least at the moment since v0.19 came out). If you are interested in this, please inform me at Your earliest convenience. Sincerely, Tomi Hurenius |

Hi Tomi, > I recently discovered Mantis 0.18.x and have been using it ever since. > As an open source project it has been an exceptionally cost effective > solution and I have been able to benefit from it in multiple levels. We are glad to here that Mantis was of benefit to you. You may want to consider putting your feedback here: http://manual.mantisbt.org/manual.appendix.testmonials.php > Now I thought about giving something back i.e. making a minor contribution > to the project in terms of the Finnish localization. You are welcome to do that, get the latest finish localization file or the 0.19.0 one, update it, and email it to this list. We will then apply it. Also it will allow other translators to improve on it as well. The idea is to always improve. Regards, Victor |
