Is there any way to force a bug through the resolved state?
The current method we are using is the developer resolves a bug and adds
a bug note with a version etc. When the reporter confirms the bug is
fixed, they close the bug. i.e. I have
# Bug is resolved, ready to be closed or reopened. In some
custom installations a bug
# maybe considered as resolved when it is moved to a custom
(FIXED OR TESTED) status.
$g_bug_resolved_status_threshold = CLOSED;
# --- access level thresholds (*_threshold) ---
# access level needed to re-open bugs
# Look in the constant_inc.php file if you want to set a
$g_reopen_bug_threshold = REPORTER;
# --- reporter can close ----------
# Allow reporters to close the bugs they reported, after they're
$g_allow_reporter_close = ON;
However we have some developers who like closing bugs immediately which
leaves their resolution as open amongst other things.
So what I want is the developer or higher can resolve the bug but not
close it. And the reporter can't close or resolve the bug while it's in
the new/assigned state but can close it once it's resolved.
$g_allow_reporter_close allows the reporter to always close a bug it
Is this possible?
