Hi, sorry if this is not the right place to post this, but I thought you might be able help. Has anyone tried to integrate the mantis bug database with a call logging database? I noticed that there is a help desk version of mantis, although the project seems to have gone a little stale. can anyone suggest any other software that they use in conjunction with mantis? Has anyone attempted to modify/patch mantis for working with any sort of help desk stuff? anyone got any advice? I have not tried to do anything like this before and I don't really want to reinvent the wheel. :) My current idea is to create custom projects that will reflect the detail of the client, from there bugs or calls can be attached to the project(customer) using the relationship function. - I think that with a bit of thought and design effort this could work reasonably well. Ideally I would want the help desk database and the bug database to be the same database. advice greatly received. Cheers Steve |

Hello, For example, I can suggest you to use additional fields for caller identifying (add text fields like caller number and caller name). Could you explain in more details, what do you want to see in such integrat= ion? 2005/12/20, st...@mi... <st...@mi...>: > Hi, > > sorry if this is not the right place to post this, but I thought you > might be able help. > > Has anyone tried to integrate the mantis bug database with a call > logging database? Hi Cyril, We have looked at that, and it didn't seem to have the flexibility that we require, however, seeing as its so close to xmas, we are downing tools and refusing to do any more work until the new year :) I am going to write a proper spec up and send it across in the new year. cheer Steve Cyril Margorin wrote: > Hello, > > For example, I can suggest you to use additional fields for caller > identifying (add text fields like caller number and caller name). > > Could you explain in more details, what do you want to see in such integration? > > 2005/12/20, st...@mi... <st...@mi...>: > >>Hi, >> >>sorry if this is not the right place to post this, but I thought you >>might be able help. >> >>Has anyone tried to integrate the mantis bug database with a call >>logging database?
