At work I've implemented some basic cronjobs (using Wincron) to do some
basic periodic actions. Among those:
* Disable accounts after period of inactivity.
* Make full backups to ZIP.
* Email developers when bugs in certain states stay that way for too long.
* Email admins when certain project conditions are met.
Requirements are for a cron type program to be installed. Most unix OSes
have cron already and Wincron can be used for free and registered for a
low fee. MacOSX should have it as well.
For a first pass I'd just want a simple way to hook multiple event rules
(ie scripts) into a single master script. Each rule would initially be a
customized script. From there we might be able to determine a more
When event conditions are matched actions are taken. Mostly these would
fall into the following categories:
* File Access/Write
* Database updates
