You have procmail to expunge duplicate emails? I've only used it for processing incoming messages into folders.
I've be interested in your rules to remove duplicates.

If any of you have as many mantis messages in your inbox as me, this
may be a handy utility. I got fed up with deleting old emails, so I
made a start with something to clear out my inbox automatically.

procmail has worked great for me for this purpose for several
years of running Mantis. I've never had any trouble at all with Mantis
emails (and our Mantis userbase is currently 1,225 users).
