The release of MantaRay 2.0 under the MPL license has resulted in explosive increase of the product downloads. Due to the expansion of usage, Coridan received many feature request and calls for product enhancements. MantaRay 2.0.1 does not include major changes but rather many bug fixes and improved performance.

MantaRay is a distributed, peer-to-peer, server-less communication & messaging solution. As a result of community feedback, MantaRay 2.0 is release under the Mozilla Public License (MPL) instead of the previous GPL.
Likewise, all of the MantaRay 2.0 companion products are now available to the open source community under an MPL license. Additionally, hooks have been incorporated to enable pluggable implementation of authorization and authentication security. A dead letter destination now handles deprecated messages. Improved JCA implementation and minor bug fixes are integrated into this release as well.

MantaRay 1.7 includes Enterprise streams (an implementation of InputStream and OutputStream over JMS topics and queues, a part of the MantaRay set of building blocks), MantaRequestor (unification of JMS 1.02 QueueRequestor and TopicRequestor into one Requestor in the spirit of JMS 1.1), and DB-based persistency (in addition to the existing file based persistency).

MWB (MantaRay WAN Bridge) 1.0 is now available, enabling lookup and communications between MantaRay layers in a WAN environment. Based on the MantaRay framework and using MySQL as a database, the MWB provides a lookup point in cases where automatic discovery is not available (for example, the Internet). In addition, the MWB can act as a proxy if MantaRay layers fail to communicate directly.

MantaRay 1.6 includes new delivery algorithms that enforce stricter once and only once guaranteed delivery in queues and durable topic subscribers. MantaRay Console 1.2, which supports MantaRay 1.6, includes a new graphical user interface design that matches the look & feel of the new MantaRay web site (http://www.mantamq.org). In addition, some communication bugs were fixed in this release.

Mantaray is A fully distributed peer-to-peer serverless communication and messaging solution.

This release contains two major features - a new logging mechanism and the infrastructure for a management console.

The new logging mechanism is based on Apaches commons-logging.
Applications that use the MantaRay layer can now easily configure it to plug in to the application's logging implementation.

Mantaray is an Open Source serverless messaging fabric, based on peer-2-peer technology.
This release contains two new features, JMX management API and SSL secure transport.
The JMX feature provides a standard way to manage the MantaRay Layer both with HTTP and RMI. The SSL feature enables an encrypted transport between two Mantaray layers.

Mantaray is an Open Source serverless messaging fabric, based on peer-2-peer technology, 100% pure Java, supports JMS 1.1 and 1.02, and integrates with WebLogic and WebSphere. It provides guaranteed message delivery, security, and supports transactions.

This release contains fixes to a minor bugs that occurred following re-serialization of some JMS messages when these messages were reset and re-routed. All the feature planed for 0.9.x were implemented and tested. MantaRay 0.9.x testing cycles are completed and the MantaRay development team is now focusing on the next major MantaRay version.
