I have posted a similar question in the manrix open discussion forum. I am not totally clear what the aim of the manrix project is. Is it the same as that of GNU HURD or have we found something inadequate in that project that we are starting afresh? Prakash Manandhar <mailto:pma...@da...> DASS Pvt. Ltd. NEPAL. |

I think it has something to do with Linker Script. It was made taking ELF into account. Do you know how to make it independent of File Format? Further, there are lot of bugs. I hope you will be interested in being a part of this project. > at that point i had to go to work, and did not look further into things... > > Best regards, > > Sebastian > Regards Manish |

Hi there, i was wondering about the build requirements. can i build this on Win32 using cygwin utilities ? if this is not currently supported, maybe that would be something for me to work on !? After getting the source I tried a quick build, but things error'd after a while ( i did not have the time to look into) e.g. building the microkernel gave me back ld -o kern -Ttext 0x100000 -T i386.ld ./arch/i386/i386.o ./mm/vmem.o ./kernel/kernel.o ld: PE operations non PE file. at that point i had to go to work, and did not look further into things... Best regards, Sebastian |

hi all, I have updated the cvs server and the Console Manager and LibC are available both as CVS and File release. I have also uploaded the Floppy Image os MnRiX(Unstable). You can download it from the site. Now, I have uploaded the LIbC, people can write their own test programs. I have written a small test program (soft/tests/tst1.c) and a make file. One can use that make file to write test programs. I hope you will contribute to Libc and programs like init, sh. Regards Manish Regmi |

Hi guys, Nice Work. I just reviewed the ManRix. In a simple words, Its Wonderful. I think, you people have really work hard to carry out such a wonderful output. I am sure you have worked for a number of days and nights continiously for completing the tasks. I am very much impressed by your works. Thanks to Rajesh+Manish Team for developing for "us", the common users. I wishes for the success. And would like to view the ManRix Distribution on the open market as Rank 1 'ix family distribution. Best of luck. Ananta Bhadra Lamichhane |
