#16 Manga Reader Slide Out Panel

1. Description

As part of the drive to make the default Manga Reader experience much more visually appealing and simple, create a slide out panel that will appear as soon as user moves mouse to the extreme edge of the Manga Reader space. The edge can be either left, right, top or bottom and is configurable by the user. To see a visual representation of the slide out panel, see attachment with this ticket.

The slideout panel should work the same way as a gadget panel meaning that the user can add gadgets to their panel and so decide what they want to see. When configured, the user will be presented with installed gadgets which in MangaCat terms would be plugins targeted at the Manga Reader. Common gadgets/plugins would include the following:

• General Archive info
• Scanlation Details
• Image Zoom
• Image Rotation
• Image contrast
• Image Brightness
• Image Noise Reduction
• Manga Reader layout e.g., single image, 2 images per page, fit to screen, etc

No.

Yes. Manga Reader will need to be adjusted to accommodate the new slide panel and gadget architecture. Add method to MangaReader called RegisterGadget

8. Explain how the functionality should be delivered e.g., through new plugin, as part of core code, etc.

The functionality should ship as part of the Default MangaCat Reader.
