Managana 1.6.0 comes with HTML5 player!

Managana 1.6.0 is ready. Besides general bug fixes this version comes with a great improvement: the new HTML5 player!

Until now Managana required viewers to have Adobe Flash Player installed on their computers/devices to check content. To bring their creations to most mobile devices, mobile apps created from the Appwizard were the only choice.

The Appwizard is still there with its advanced features, but now there is another choice. If Adobe Flash Player is not found, Managana tries to use the HTML5 canvas for rendering. This means you create once and have your content deployed to even more devices with no extra work.... read more

showtime users: a bug on video mapping on version 1.5.0

A bug on Showtime 1.5.0 prevents users from correctly set their crops if they are using the video mapping option. Luckly there is an easy workaround: just go to the graphic display settings and turn off the "allow gestures" option. You may turn it on again after setting your crops.

for Appwizard users

The current release version of the Adobe AIR SDK 3.7 (3.7.0.153) comes with a bug that prevents Android applications to be delivered to Google Play. To solve the problem, use the current beta build (from version 3.7.0.1760). The download address for this beta build is http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/air.html - look for the last link on the page "Download AIR 3.7 SDK for Flex Developers for Windows".

bug on showtime and appwizard posted on April, 15th

The Showtime (Windows and Mac) and the Appwizard 1.5.0 installers posted yesterday (04/15) shown some bugs. We're sorry for that. Updated files are already available at the downloads section.

If you downloaded the "full" package, you don't need to re-download it, just look for the new Showtime and Appwizard installers. The bug didn't affect the other 1.5.o version files.

The new Managana 1.4.0 is ready! This update comes to improve text and external feed handling, along with some news at the Showtime application.

General updates

Improvements on text handling: now the paragraph text accept a new input mode: HTML code. You can use it to add plain html code that takes advantage of the new CSS support. At the community properties you can set a default stylesheet with your style declarations. The HTML support is limited and you should avoid the usage of the div tag (span with class attribute works fine) and img one (may not be rendered well, specially on mobile devices).... read more

Managaning #37: add new playlist element

When you add a new media from the tools window, you can do it on an existing playlist.

By default, when you use the tools window (the one usually at left) to add media to a stream, you crate a new playlist with a single element. However, you may do so on an existing playlist, keeping your content more organized. In order to do so, check the "on playlist" dropdown menu: you can change it from "new playlist" to any playlist already present on your stream.... read more
