For some reason MAMEoX seems to run significantly slower
than MAME-X. It's an issue that we'll be looking into after the
0.65b release in a few days. The problem is that most of the
games that run slowly also consume alot of memory, which
pretty much rules out the profiler (at least on my 64mb box)
and makes it a little harder to get good data on bottlenecks.
Hopefully the problem is something related to MAMEoX
itself and not the fact that we use the latest MAME cores
rather than the older, often faster ones.

I'm pretty sure 0.64b was the release in which everyone
seemed to end up w/ a debug version instead of a release
version. You can check if this is the case by looking for a
filesize of something like 26 megs for MAMEoX.XBE (in 0.65b
and later I've added warning messages when in debug mode).
This would definitely explain a lower framerate as compared
to older versions of MAMEoX, but it wouldn't surprise me if
MAME-X is faster yet.
