How did offlineimap? Does it correctly synchronize those flags?

The problem wit the flags - as far as I was able to figure it out - is that the
c-client library (on which mailsync is based) claims sth along the lines of
"once a mail has been accessed/read then the new flag will be removed and you
can not set it any more". However transferring mails seems to be possible but
not out of/towards all mailbox formats.
As I said, the key here is "as far as I have been able to figure out" - might
also be that c-client has changed since then.
