Hi Nick and Diogo and everyone else :-)
Here is a follow up to yesterdays post from Mike G. about developers in the
project:
Has 'checked in' at the maillinglist:
Mike G, Diogo, Kevin, Nick, (Bogdan).
Besides that, I have been in contact with 2-3 others who either intend to
'check in'
or who have some problems with the maillinglist.
I have removed Usha from his request.
The 'retired' developers:
sunyang (made the mail account setup wizard)
francis bacque (some minor adjustment in mailcode)
Kaijian xu (made most of the flashy images :-)
I have completely lost contact with sunyang - he dont respond at all. I
might remove him from the project.
Francis is still 'alive' hehe... But im not sure he is interested in
contributing.
Kaijian might help with images, havent been in contact with him for some
time.
I will write a list of people who have contributed to the project (theres
also some which now have left the project themself) so they can be included
in a contributer list or similar.
As to tasks:
I have posted a list of possible tasks, and I am writing down some more
which I will send soon.
Currently only Bogdan has assigned himself for a task - making a mimetype
class.
Projects:
I will continue the mapi project and the mailsomething project shall NOT
consider this project until it is redesigned and have a release. That might
take ½ a year. Changes to mailcode can be submitted to the mailsomething
project and I will make sure they will be included in the mapi project.
Code:
is placed in cvs tree under 'mailsomething' as the root folder. Ie, theres 2
root folders 'src' and 'mailsomething', the 'src' is the old root and shall
be ignored.
None-mail functionality:
I am still not clear to wether Darren will start a subproject, or if the
mailsomething project should keep the new functionality I have initiated.
Most of this functionality - notes (in bloggers), tasks, taskslists,
calendar... Is only on an initial state, and needs lots of work. I think it
would be cool though if someone will continue it (also in the mailsomething
project sphere).
