Hi all,
Yes i'm from India. Particularly southern part of india, bangalore.
First of all thanks for your reply.
I've downloaded the source files. Can anyone give me some idea on how 
to build and run it on windows platform.
i'm out of my city till 15th of this month. i'm just able to check my 
mails from the local internet booths.i'll start my work from 15th.
Yes i'll take it as my own project and give my best to it.
i hope i'll be able to contribute to the best of my abilities with some 
help from you all.

If you extract it somewhere in ur filesystem, there should be an ant
buildscript which can be used to build a jar. After that u need to run it
with the correct classpath. Probably the easiest way is to import the source
into an ide, and add the necessary libaries to the ide classpath, and let it
build it all. I dont remember exactly if the ant buildscript works with
those source-releases...   But I think I tested it before I released those.

It is not a particular good idea to work with the source from the
downloadable zip files. It is old, and you cannot asume that the code in
those are the recent code in cvs. If it is impossible for you to get cvs to
work (firewall or similar) you can allways get the lates cvs code here:
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cvstarballs/mailsomething-cvsroot.tar.bz2
It is updated nightly. (the file is appr. 7Mb)
