I just released Mail Redirect 0.10.4. This is a minor update with a couple of bug fixes for the upcoming Thunderbird 68 (which is already available by manual download).
I hope the new version works like it should, if not please mail me or file a ticket on the website.
Kind regards,
Onno

Sorry, I forgot to update the updates file, so users with a version of Mail Redirect were still running 0.10.2. I now enabled auto-updates, so you should get updated to version 0.10.3.
Just released Mail Redirect 0.10.3, which is compatible with Thunderbird 68.* which is currently in its beta stage,
This version of Mail Redirect adds some new features and fixes some old bugs...
I've released version 0.10.1 of Mail Redirect, which fixes a bug preventing the Ctrl+L keyboard shortcut from working https://sourceforge.net/p/mailredirect/tickets/20/.
Unfortunately there is also an issue in version 0.10 downloaded from Sourceforge or Github preventing auto updates, so if you want yo upgrade to the latest version, you'll have to download and install it yourself. Download with instructions are available from this page or direct link
I see I forgot to announce a couple of bug fix releases, but today I released a new version with some new functionality.
I've added the option to add Redirect to the Forward As buttons and menu items, thus grouping all the forwarding items together. Furthermore it saves screen real estate, since you don't need the separate Redirect button anymore, so you can remove it by customizing the toolbar. By going to Mail Redirect's options you can choose to also hide the menu items or to remove the Redirect item from the Forward As button and menu items and restore the original behavior.... read more
New year, new version. In order to stay compatible with Gecko changes I've updated Mail Redirect once more. Apart from these changes, there's also a fix for SeaMonkey's preferences and Indonesian localization is added. Here's the complete list of changes:
I see I missed posting a few versions here, but today I've release version 0.9.3 of Mail Redirect.
I'll just list all the changes I've recorded since version 0.9:
Yesterday I released version 0.9. This version includes some bug fixes, some
new locales and one known issue, that was already present in the last
version(s), but which I couldn't solve in the short run. Fortunately
there's an easy workaround for it. See Changes for more info.
This time the new version didn't take that long. I needed to fix a small bug that would be introduced in Thunderbird 52.0, which can be released any time soon now. That and some small changes and added Ukrainian, Portuguese and Spanish (Mexico) localization is what's new this time.
It took a while and when it was finished it caused me still some trouble to publish it, because I had lost all my git-settings when migrating to a new laptop, but now Mail Redirect 0.8.8 has finally been released. I had to release it, because SeaMonkey 2.46 was released a few weeks ago and the old version didn't work there anymore. Luckily the last beta-version that had been sitting on my computer for a long while did work, so now I have released it. I just hope nothing else will change with Thunderbird 52, which will be released shortly, and everything will keep on working.
Only a couple of days after the release of 0.8.6 I had to release 0.8.7. Not because I introduced a new error in the last version, but because a bug was reported in version 0.8.5 shortly after I had released 0.8.6. The problem was on Windows XP, where the Redirect icon wasn't shown in the message header pane of Thunderbird 38. This releases fixes that issue.
Just released version 0.8.6. This version has some changes in the way addresses are added to the recipient list in the Mailredirect window. Now you don't have to confirm the address anymore, so as soon as you start entering an address, the Redirect button gets enabled. This is done to try to keep in sync with the way Thunderbird's Compose window handles the adding of addresses.
Also fixed in this version is the problem that the Redirect button wasn't shown in the multimessage view, due to a change in Thunderbird 38. Now it is shown again, making it easier to redirect an entire thread ot some selected messages.... read more
I just released version 0.8.5 on SourceForge and it got immediately reviewed on addons.mozilla.org too, so you can download it from there too. Again it contains some bug fixes for Thunderbird Daily, Aurora or Beta and SeaMonkey Release.
Mail Redirect should now also work on Solaris, FreeBSD, OpenBSD and other operating systems...
Hi all,
Yesterday I released Mail Redirect 0.8.4. This version contains some more bug fixes. I hope I'm now all done with the bugs and I can concentrate on adding new features again :-)

In The Netherlands we have a saying "Driemaal is scheepsrecht", which Google translates to "Third time lucky". It doesn't quite mean the same, but both meanings hopefully apply to this new release.
After releasing 0.8 I noticed an error with auto completion in Thunderbird 31. Since Thunderbird 31 is being rolled out at the moment, I was in a bit of a rush to fix this problem. Normally I would have made an alpha or beta release first, but now I took the risk of releasing it immediately.... read more
I just release Mail Redirect 0.8. This version has some new features, like the Contacts Sidebar which is added to the Mail Redirect window, but it also has lots of changes to stay compatible with the upcoming Thunderbird 31...
Here is a complete list of what's new and changed:
Since last Friday there are problems with redirecting emails from a Gmail account. It looks like Gmail has changed its policy and now only accepts emails with your own From address. Redirected emails don't have that, but they have a Resent-From header with your own address, which indicates by whom the message is reintroduced into the transport system. This is fully compliant with RFC 2822, so I hope that Gmail changes its policy again soon, to allow redirecting of emails once again...... read more
I'm proud to announce that Mail Redirect made it to the list of Featured Add-ons for February. When support for Mail Redirect was moved back to add-ons.mozilla.org there was an increased number of daily downloads. I hope this exposure has a similar effect and we can welcome a lot of new users!
Featured Add-ons for Thunderbird
50 days after releasing version 0.7.8 it's a good time to look at the statistics for Mail Redirect. Because I removed the add-on's own update information all users who installed version 0.7.8 reverted back to the original update mechanisme on addons.mozilla.org. This also allowed me to see how many users had downloaded a version of Mail redirect during the time it was not available on addons.mozilla.org. As you can see in the picture below the daily user count increased from about 12500 to well over 25000 in the first two weeks after the release. That means that half of the users took the trouble to download the extension from another place when it wasn't updated on addons.mozilla.org.... read more
Today I released Mail Redirect 0.7.8. I've been working on this version for a while but an error with redirecting to mailing lists with lots of addresses prevented me from releasing it earlier.
Because Mail Redirect is again accepted on addons.mozilla.org, I've removed the update information from this version. This means that once you've installed this version you'll get your future updates again from addons.mozilla.org. If you don't want that and want to get beta versions or other pre-releases, you can manually install Mail redirect from sourceforge.... read more
