Mailchecker / News: Recent posts

A new configuration-option, notify_recipient_inline, has been added. When this option is enabled, the (optional) notification to the recipient will be added to the original mail (with dangerous parts removed). If the option is disabled, the notification will be sent in a seperate message.
(only availabe in CVS. will apper in v0.2)

A new module, warn, has been added. This module accept the content without modification, but still warn about the content. (only available in CVS. will appear in v0.2)

Several new features have been included over the last couple of weeks:

* Internal structures have been changed to make it possible to make rules on filenames (in addition to mimetypes and file magic)
* check_mail now updates the headers (content-type, content-disposition and content-transfer-encoding) if the content of the mail has been changed
* New modules:
* check_quoted (for quoted-printable encoding)
* check_uuencode (for quoted-printable encoding)
* rename (renames files to .data)
* Documentation (REAME, INSTALL)

Our first mailchecker installation has now been in production for two weeks. No problems so far, and a couple of dangerous attachments have been blocked.

We have now imported the first version of the code. It's not complete, and really not usable yet. Still we hope people will take a look and give us some feedback.
