'ello everyone. First off, MagpieRSS is awesome. Thanks bunches to anyone who's worked on it. I've got a couple of questions about it: 1) Is there any way to specify varying levels of cache retention for feeds apart from setting MAGPIE_CACHE_AGE inbetween calls to fetch_rss? It'd be nice to perhaps be able to pass in the max age into the fetch_rss call instead of doing it in two steps. Well, actually, now that I look at the source it seems that there really isn't. I could write up a quick patch for it to support doing so; would such a thing be likely to be accepted? 2) I've seen some mentions of MAGPIE_CONDITIONAL_GET_ON, as well as seeing that var in a few bits of example code around the net, but I don't actually see any use of that var in the code... Does this mean that Conditional GETs are now on all the time by default? 3) I had noticed a thread from not too long ago about having MagpieRSS return a cached version of a feed if the server's unreachable, etc, and it was mentioned that the current release should have this enabled already, but I don't see that behavior with 0.71; I'll occasionally have some of my feeds time out or become unreachable and I'll get the usual warnings instead of a cached version. Is there something I need to do to enable this behavior? I think there may have been more, but that's all I can think of now. Regardless, thanks for the great product! -CJ -- WOW: Kakistocracy | "Happiness isn't good enough for me! I apocalyptech.com/wow | demand euphoria!" ma...@ap... | - Calvin |
