I compiled version 3.7.1+svn227 of magnifier under 64-bit GNU/Linux (Debian Jessie/amd64). After I did apt-get install lazarus-ide, it compiled cleanly without modification. The attached file is only the binary, the bmp files are not included.
apt-get install lazarus-ide
