Using the is_in_stock field, I'd expect the stock status to translate 0 to Out of Stock and 1 to In Stock.

This doesn't seem to currently work in this way. Using the Magento 1.6.2 and latest Magmi.

    Just been looking through the magmi_productimportengine.php code and can see that is_in_stock seems to be worked out based on whether the qty available is more than the min_qty. I think it would be good to be able to overwrite this based on the "is_in_stock" column.

    I've commented out

            if(!$is_in_stock && $item["qty"]>$mqty)
            {
                $is_in_stock=1;
            }

    on lines 805-808 in engines/magmi_productimportengine.php, because I needed this as well.
    It should work for me as I don't need the relative quantity.

    Looking at the latest version, it seems this is now handled correctly. If is_in_stock is present, then it's used. Otherwise the quantity is compared with the minimum quantity and is_in_stock is set accordingly. I think this can therefore be closed.
