Hi Ashok,

I guess you are working on the new packages for 8.6.15 and 9.0.

Would it be possible to add an option to select a basic/mini install, which will only select tcl, tk, tcllib, tklib, plus (optionally) some other components you think would be good to have as a bare minimum.

Note I am not talking about creating a separate package - just the option during the installation.

    This is a good idea and I'll take a look. However, unless it's trivial to do (very little is with MSI) I'm afraid other Tcl stuff will have priority for quite a while.

    Thanks for your quick reply, Ashok. I even planned to say "if trivial"...
    I often recommend your packages to customers, mainly since they are signed (in some cases I can share my scripts as executable, but often they are blocked since not signed). Usually they do not care, trust me and just install all. But some are very careful and ask too many questions. Minimum install would be preferable in those cases.
