I'm curious abou thte mechanism used to drive the power level of the cards. I know there is no mechanism available to change the txpower in the current Linux version code, but I was wondering if the system just drives the card at full power or what? I using a pair of CM9 cards and having some serious problems making a connection at about 2 miles on 200 foot towers using 24" grid antennas with 5.2Ghz feedhorns. I have talked to other people who have been able to make a connection up to 20 miles using the CM9's and StarOS, but StarOS actually has a working txpower mechanism... From the data I'm seeing it looks like my cards are only being driven at around 10-20mW instead of their full 50mW. Is there a way I can tweak the driver at compile time to simply push the card to full power all the time? |
