Hi, I just bought a D-Link AirPlus (DWL-G650) and have successfully connected it to my AP at home, an D-Link AirPlus Xtreme G (DI-624). The connection works "ok". I only get 1Mb/sec in transfer even tho signal is 100% and speed is 54mbit and a lot of packet loss. Problems one would expect from such an alpha driver, really. :-) But I've been unable to connect to the AP at work, an SonicWall SOHO TZW. It's a 802.11b AP, and I've set it up to accept any client and not use WEP. I get the ESSID from it, and I seem to be able to get a stable link. But no IP packets ever reach it. :-/ >From ifconfig: RX packets:165 errors:291282 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:2085 TX packets:450 errors:11 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:199 And from iwconfig: ath0 IEEE 802.11-DS ESSID:"eunet" Mode:Managed Frequency:2.412GHz Access Point: 00:06:B1:41:03:83 Bit Rate=11Mb/s Tx-Power:off Sensitivity=0/3 Retry:off RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off Encryption key:off Power Management:off Link Quality:0/92 Signal level:9/154 Noise level:0/154 Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0 Hopefully someone has some tips. :-) -- Dag Stenstad <ma...@st...> |
