MadWifi doesn't change the bit rate when switching to another band. The old rate can be the wrong for the new band (e.g. 1 Mbps for 802.11a). All rate control modules have been fixed to deal with it in a more helpful way than crashing the kernel. -- Regards, Pavel Roskin |
