Hi, I have created the madwifi-dfs branch today in SVN based upon Michal's patches from ticket 113. The goal of the branch is to coordinate additional related development in the area of DFS compliance for FCC and ETSI testing. The branch includes the following contributions: * First, Michal's massive patch for channel availability, channel selection, and the dot.h algorithms. These were contributed by Michal from the Lintrack project as part of ticket 113. * Continuous transmit, rewrite of channel availability check, rewrite of radar avoidance logic, and some early work on configuring the PHY for radar detection and reporting, and regulatory dfs test modes. - Mike from Apprion. * benoit has contributed patches to make DFS work with IBSS and is presently working on the pulse pattern detection and noise filtering algorithm. I would also like to thank mentor, nbd, stevie, and Jon who have been extremely helpful in providing guidance this effort. I hope I didn't miss anyone and contributions and feedback are very welcome. If anyone wants to give this branch a kick in the tires, it will presently work as you might expect except that by default the "markdfs" flag is disabled and you will only have DFS reported to you rather than having it change channels. Thanks, Mike |
