I'm not exactly sure on how to get these traces. Is there docs on this? =20 Thanks, Stephen =20 From: mad...@li... [mailto:mad...@li...] On Behalf Of Michael Taylor Sent: Friday, March 30, 2007 12:05 PM To: mad...@li... Subject: Re: [Madwifi-devel] server crash with 0.9.2 & 0.9.3 =20 Please post the trace. BTW, I *have* been able to cause a panic during association with at least one client. A Broadcom radio on a Laptop with Windows XP could panic the AP if the WEP mode and key were incorrect. I could generate the panic (see below) every time, but it went away when the authentication dialog had WEP specified and a proper key. I haven't had time yet to investigate the cause enough to file a meaningful bug report. Let me know if you see something similar in your logs and maybe you can help isolate it. Stephen Shaw wrote:=20 I unfortunately don't have any proof, but here are the details. Maybe there is something that I'm not aware of. =20 We have several servers in the wild and all of them have a netgear WG311T in them as an AP.(netgear 108 mbps pci card) The servers that are not using wireless, but have it enables never crash. They seem to never give us problems. However, those that are using the wireless tend to crash randomly(requiring a hard reboot). To complicate things even more, not all of the server that use wireless crash. Maybe it is just the wireless adapters connecting to our server? Server details: Centos Kernel 2.6.9-42.smp Madwifi 0.9.3 =20 Thanks, Stephen =20 Sorry for the real lack of information. =20 =20 ________________________________ =20 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Take Surveys.
