Did anyone manage to get wpasupplicant working with an unencrypted (no wep!), plain 802.11b network? The sympton is that no traffic seems to go over the interface. I get no dhcp, nor I can ping my gateway. Without wpasupplicant, network is fine! (I'm sending this mail over that network right now!). The problem why I want to use wpasupplicant for an unencrypted network is that I need roaming: wpasupplicant should be able to use both the unencrypted, plain 802.11b network from university as the WPA-EAP secured network mentioned in the config file without restarting. According to the README and default config this seems to be possible but I fail to configure it to do so. Currently I'm stuck. I have the suspicion that there is bad interaction between wpasupplicant and madwifi.
