Well i just recently got madwifi up and running in AP mode! Im using the
"Old code" since the Ng code wouldnt setup an AP. Ive never seen a
driver so easy to compile and install. The wireless works great, it
would probably help if my new house wasnt so wireless proof (cell phones
have huge problems working here too). But the driver is great!
Id like to thank all of the devs who made madwifi and any users that
support other users with problems! Ive subscribed to the mailing list so
maybe one day i can give back to the community and help someone!
950mhz athlon socket A
40GB hard drive
Fedora Core 5 with latest kernel and updates
retailed at 25 US dollars and supports 108 turbo mode, i havent tried
turbo but it works great in 54M G
Once again thanks! Andy
Just to let you know, the old code hasn't been updated for a long time.
All the new developments in the new -ng code.
If you have trouble setting it up, you can actually ask on this mailing lis=
or the IRC channel,
and maybe even look at the wiki http://madwifi.org
I hope the new code will work for you someday.
