I am working on a wireless device which utilizes the MadWifi driver.
Before submitting the device for certification I would like to determine
whether the device would pass the FCC's DFS requirements.
To facilitate testing I have access to a device which will generate RF
radar type signatures as defined by FCC doc #FCC-06-96A1.
Is there a MadWifi release (eg: 0.9.4) which could be reasonably
expected to pass the DFS requirements? Or must the madwifi-dfs branch
Assuming that I use a MadWifi version that is DFS aware, what tools can
be used to make the driver log debug messages that would show that the
driver is reacting to radar signals?
What I've done so far:
- iwpriv's "dfstestmode" and "doth_radar"
- athdebug +doth
- 80211debug +doth
But so far I have been unable to see any DFS related debug output in
