Do you intend multiple interfaces? > the access point cannot be seen ! > any help please ? > thank you > Did you ever #ifconfig ath1 up If you cut and paste all commands you tried and all corresponding output, someone here can tell you what may be going wrong. You need to destroy ath0 and create it as an "ap" interface. Alternatively, you can use the autocreate=ap parameter for ath_pci. > #wlanconfig ath1 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode ap > #iwconfig ath1 essid "accesspoint" > the access point cannot be seen ! > any help please ? Posting only your interpretation without the exact messages is useless. If you are doing something wrong, the only way for others to help you is to compare your intentions with what you are doing and what you are actually getting. I have no idea how you are "looking" at your access point so that it cannot be "seen". Generally, don't use station and AP on the same card at least for now (you can try it later when the basic things work). Make sure the band is correct (iwpriv mode), the channel is correct and the interface is up. -- Regards, Pavel Roskin |
