The first released XScale BE HAL seemed to do fine running on an IXDP425
board and even on our own IXDP compatible board...the most recent version in
CVS however seems to be acting funny.
Even back on the IXDP425 with the current HAL we intermittently can bring up
a Senao 5354 (5212?) miniPCI radio...most times insmod/modprobe will
I dropped some printks in if_ath_pci.c and trace all the way up to
athname = ath_hal_probe(id->vendor, id->device);
where it segfaults.
The kernel(s) we have been working with are the Snapgear 3.0 and 3.1 tree
which are 2.4.22 and 2.4.24 respectively.
Our board is a IXDP425 based board (PCI/GPIO mappings are identical) and
includes 4 miniPCI sockets...where we have tried a radio in each or all to
no avail. We did find out (and have to redesign our switcher) that at least
the Senao Atheros based radios are sucking up a minimum of 2.5W per radio.
I have not tried the previous HAL again..but will do so...I was just curious
if there is anything I should be watching out for or paying attention to...
