Is there working driver for Atheros AR5006x ?
I checked out from cvs and it doesn't discover this chipset..
After adding pci id to if_ath_pci.c I only got:
Oct 21 21:00:35 kernel: ath_hal: 0.9.14.9 (AR5210, AR5211, AR5212, RF5111,
Oct 21 21:00:35 kernel: ath_rate_sample: 1.2
Oct 21 21:00:35 kernel: ath_pci: 0.9.6.0 (EXPERIMENTAL)
Oct 21 21:00:35 kernel: ath_attach: unable to attach hardware: 'No hardware
present or device not yet supported' (HAL status 1)
Is there any work in progress about support for this chip ?
thanks in advance

OK, thanks, I managed it to work but it will often will lock my machine
after issuing command "ifconfig ath0 down". I don't had yet possibility
to check it closer, but it looks like all proceses on target machine are stopped
but kernel still reponds to ping requests.
What could cause such behavior (system panic?) ? Have someone hint where to
search bug in madwifi-ng ?
