The MADWIFI-ng (Multiband Atheros Driver for WIFI-next generation) is
linux device driver for wireless Ethernet cards based on Atheros chips.
It is known as that the driver provides several features in option. One
of them is WMM/WME (wifi multimedia/wifi multimedia extension) that is
industrial implementation of IEEE 802.11e enhanced distributed channel
access (EDCA). However, there is lack of documents or works to confirm
whether WMM/WME is really working or not in MADWIFI-ng. This paper shows
the experimental result to test the operation of MADWIFI-ng WMM/WME
option using limited number of wireless stations. The tested device is
NETGEAR WAG511 (AR5212). From the result, we can see that MADWIFI-ng can
perform well the WMM/WME functionalities.
