I'm running madwifi 0.9.4 with hostapd as an access point and I'm getting a lot of stuck beacon messages: "wifi0: stuck beacon; resetting (bmiss count 11)". There's a bug report on this, #185, but there is no fix yet. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is there a workaround? Setting the channel to 11, as suggested by someone on the bug report post, certainly helps if the channel is not congested. It's the same for other channels, like channel 6, but this is not the workaround I'm looking for.
Also when the driver resets the hardware, sometimes an interrupt is generated (dont know before or after hardware reset), but the driver does not handle the interrupt, causing the kernel to complain about unhandled interrupt. It's not a big problem because the driver
eventually recovers, but it would be nice if the driver handles the interrupt properly. Is there a patch to do this?
Thanks in advance for your help and sorry if I haven't look hard enough to find workarounds/patches.
