Hi Andy,

Sorry about that, there is a 0.7.3 release that fixes that problem.
We've moved to rubyforge.org, but I realize that I haven't updated the
Sourceforge page with that yet.

If you use RubyGems to get Madeleine you will get 0.7.3. You can also
get it directly from rubyforge.org/projects/madeleine

[Madeleine-devel] 0.7.2 and windows

I upgraded to the 0.7.2 release on windows and am getting the following 
error:

sanity.rb:46:in `file_check': Sanity check failed for file IO (RuntimeError)

In looking at the code I see that sanity.rb is using the stdlib tempfile 
class to create a file.   I believe that this opens a file in 'w+' mode vs 
binary mode.   On windows the mode difference makes a difference.

If I change the code as follows (not a patch, just showing the problem), the 
check now passes:

    def file_check
      File.open('madeleine_sanity', 'wb') do |file|
      #Tempfile.open("madeleine_sanity") do |file|
      .....
      .....

Prior to this I've had no problems running the application in question on 
windows -- am I missing something in the new version that should make 
sanity.rb fail on windows?
