Ok, so it seems we can get the best of our two ways of thinking. I want to keep the floating palette, because it si far smaller than the preferences pane, so it can be displayed aside the document for quick modifications. And there should be a place in the preferences to enter default margins. I just need your opinion about two questions: If I change the margins in the floating palette, do you think it should alter the preferences (I guess "no") If I close the margin palette, should it reset the defaults ? (I guess "yes") Do you mind if LaTeXiT does not remember the margins used to generate an equation ? I hope "no", because on the contrary, the floating palette is no more the good way to present that information (in this case, the margins should be integrated into the document window, and so far, I failed in doing that nicely) Regards, Pierre |
