My Macbook Pro 2,2 running Ubuntu Gutsy has worked on and off on the radeonhd driver. Two days ago the sources worked fine for all basic functions. The sources as of this morning fail to get the native resolution (1440x900) out of the panel. Previous to yesterday when that happened it would just crash. Now it runs in 1280x1024 mode pushed into the top left corner of the display. I get a dead strip on the right side of the screen and then the top of the screen showing in a strip on the bottom in what would be dead space. Tomorrow it will probably work again. ;) I am not fluent enough with git to be able to back my version off to a working version. I haven't had time to dig into it. I have not tried randr yet. I will probably wait until the driver works on the basic level again for me.
