Hi all,

I finally got a gnu-efi build environment working, thanks to a tip  
fro Joshua LeVassour: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?

With that, I have patched ELILO to switch the console to text mode on  
its own and submitted the patch to the ELILO project on SourceForge:

With that patch it is now possible to build a Live CD without  
ebounce.efi or rEFIt. Just bless elilo.efi and it will come up in  
text mode. BTW, ELILO has a built-in text menu and should be able to  
display banner messages like LILO or ISOLINUX.
