[Mactel-linux-users] quick question on building kernel for my macbook

I've finally gotten tired of not having sound, so I figured I'd bite the 
bullet and build my kernel to support the mac patches.  I've just 
downloaded mactel-patches-2.6.24.tar.gz, so I'm assuming that I simply 
download the latest 2.6.24 kernel, apply the patches and the build my 
kernel.

Pointers to the contrary or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
