doesn't anyone else find this strange as well? i use ndis for connecting 
to wireless on my mbp4,1 on 2.6.27 through network manager... however 
the access points need to be visible since i can not connect to a hidden 
ssid still... this forces me to the shell to start wpa_supplicant 
manually and wait several minutes till it finally connects, but i 
digress...

so why is it that the bcm driver hasn't been sorted? you figure in 
today's world, even though its "unsecured", this would be a huge win to 
stabilize wireless... running one less service, ndis, is always a big a 
positive... call me crazy, but just the way osx comes in and out of 
sleep mode and reconnects to networks so rapidly lately has been very 
attractive...

if osx does it, why can't we? i don't see why not, we're a brilliant 
community... its the same hardware osx is using, theoretically we should 
be able to replicate the speed...

just dreaming a little dream...
