Hi, Since several days, I have regularly some problems with the battery status (the little thing that tells me if my battery is full or near empty). At boot it works just well. Sometimes, after suspend, the information is lost (so I don't know the battery level). The kernel just says 0: $ cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state ~ present: yes capacity state: ok charging state: discharging present rate: 0 mW remaining capacity: 0 mWh present voltage: 0 mV I haven't made extensive tests for now, so it's just some introductory message and I want to know if someone else have similar problems. I suspect some of these may have an effect: - very long suspend time (I juwt woke up my laptop from 24h of sleep and I just noticed again the problem) - if the state of the power has changed during the sleep (example, the laptop was charging before sleeping and I plugged the power cord before it woke up, or during the sleep, it has been charged but the power wasn't present both at sleep time and wakeup time or other strange combinaison) Until now, I assumed that to fix it I had to reboot under Mac OS X to reset the battery state, I know it works but i haven't recently tested if just normal reboot from linux to linux is enough or not ... have to test again. My linux kernel: $ uname -a Linux kylae 2.6.27-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Sun Oct 12 15:16:25 CEST 2008 i686 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T7200 @ 2.00GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux My laptop: MacBook2,1 Mildred -- Mildred Ki'Lya ╭───────── mildred593@online.fr ────────── │ Jabber, GoogleTalk: <mi...@ja...> │ Site: <http://ki.lya.online.fr> GPG ID: 9A7D 2E2B │ Fingerprint: 197C A7E6 645B 4299 6D37 684B 6F9D A8D6 9A7D 2E2B |
