I never knew it was possible (to create a loop while compiling) but yes, that seems to be the case, as stated on this blog: http://www.zoomthingie.com/wordpress/?p=13 Apparantly the date on the atv is wrong and the date of the sourcefiles is in the future so the compiler doesn't know what to do with them. I just did "date 082906272008" to set the correct date and it worked! My current genkernel is actually producing some feedback (because I'm running this command, with logging: genkernel --loglevel=5 --logfile=genkernel.out --kernel-config=/usr/src/config-2.6.24.3 all ) I wonder if the author would change the wiki to update this, as I'm (at least) the second user to fall in this trap.
