Grr, I'm on too many lists with header-munging and accidentally took

Since it worked for Pol, I'll accept the humiliation of admiting to my
ctrl-R not ctrl-L habit, and recap:

Pol wrote back and said that it worked; was able to maximize the level
using paman.
