After doing searching I noticed with: http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/mactel-linux/trunk/kernel/mactel-patches-2.6.26/disk-protect-2.6.26.patch?view=log&pathrev=159 With most of the patches I see: This is the patch series for Linux 2.6.26. Note: The sigmatel patch have been modified. You should use model=intel-mac-v* (*=1-5) module parameter to snd_hda_intel. Typically, you will want to add this line in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa: option snd-hda-intel model=intel-mac-v3 This modification should only affect people with "intel-mac-v3" models (e.g. MacBook Pro 1st generation) Should this be just for the sigmatel patch? anyways as for having low sound; maybe trying this option can atleast put the card in the right state. Also if you hear crackling this option worked for me: options snd-hda-intel position_fix=1 but with 2.6.27-rc3 I don't need this anymore. -- Justin P. Mattock |
