I don't think the appletouch driver or any Xorg config is the reason. If you use any of the configurations we mentioned before (in the mailing list or on a web-site), I should work. The real problem is, that the USB driver delivers an OVERFLOW ERROR. I do not why this happens, but as the touchpad certainly works under Mac OS/X without errors, the problem must be the Linux kernel. As you are using a working configuration from one of us (assumed you did not changed any critical options), the only idea I currently have is, that the compiler did something wrong. Maybe the error lies somewhere else, but it's difficult to check from here. Are you using any (unusual) USB hardware?
