I'm just getting sick of this: I'm not able to get proper output from my
macbook to my Dell 2007WFP monitor.
I've tried several configurations (the attached one is the current one,
and the log for it), including one from a user with a macbook and the
With this one what I get when I run "startx" is:
(II) intel(0): Kernel reported 232960 total, 1 used
(II) intel(0): I830CheckAvailableMemory: 931836 kB available
(**) intel(0): VideoRam: 65536 KB
(WW) intel(0): xf86AllocateGARTMemory: allocation of 10 pages failed
(Cannot allocate memory)
(II) intel(1): Allocating 0 scanlines for pixmap cache

output on my macbook if my external monitor isn't plugged in. If it's
plugged in, no matter which layout I use, I always get the same weird
output: a bigger desktop on my macbook's screen (I can't see the bottom
toolbar nor the right hand part of the desktop) and a smaller one on the
external monitor (I see the from the top to the bottom of the desktop,
but it doesn't get all the width of the desktop, all of this at a minor
resolution than the 1680x1050 the monitor works on).
Anyone could help me? I'm using 1.9.94 version of the i810 driver and
Thanks a lot for any hint suggested.
