great work... i am really looking forward to getting multitouch working on my mbp4, i'm back to my old school tricks right now for the key mappings for right and middle click in combination with .xmodpmap and gnome-accessibility-keyboard-properties... you wouldn't happen to know why this isn't working on the mbp4? echo 1 > /proc/sys/dev/mac_hid/mouse_button_emulation echo 116 > /proc/sys/dev/mac_hid/mouse_button2_keycode #right-command echo 113 > /proc/sys/dev/mac_hid/mouse_button3_keycode #right-option sleep is good btw... cheers paul Scott Shawcroft wrote: > Hi all, > I just got back from Hawaii and have been hacking away at getting > multitouch working. Something weird with the output of iwlist on my Macbook pro. I see this: wlan0 4 available bit-rates : 6 Mb/s 9 Mb/s 12 Mb/s 18 Mb/s Current Bit Rate=117 Mb/s Now my previous experience with iwlist would indicate that it would display all available rates and the current rate. The current rate would be one of the available rates. So which is incorrect? The current rate or the listing of available rates? I guess I could try a large file transfer from a local machine and do the math, but I figured someone else might have a quick answer. -- Until later, Geoffrey Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety. - Benjamin Franklin |

Hi all, I just got back from Hawaii and have been hacking away at getting multitouch working. In other words, I've spent last night and all of today doing it. However, I've made progress. I've nearly gotten it to its default state. The keyboard works except for the arrow keys, the mouse moves the pointer and the mouse button is a left click. To prove its my daemon I have a status icon that can run and display the number of fingers on the touchpad. I'll post the code sometime in the next two days and another video once I have extra stuff working. Cheers, Scott |

yeah no flickering with mplayer as well as with vlc you just have to tell them to use x11 as the output while compiz is running... for mplayer use -vo x11 and vlc its settings --> preferences --> video --> output modules, change it from default to x11... cheers paul Pietro "m0nt0" Montorfano wrote: > paul s ha scritto: >> i had great success with these cards on f8/kde/compiz/aiglx using the >> driver from ati or the kmod from livna... i spent a million hours on >> my xorg.xonf before everything worked smoothly, its attached... hope >> this helps... >> >> cheers >> paul > [snip] > > Well, you are telling me that you can watch a video with mplayer or run > blender or any openGL application with compiz running, aiglx and latest > ati driver (8.3) without any "flickering" problem ?? > if so let me say that i LOVE you :D > I don't wanna do the swtch another time but, if you tell me that you can > do what i've explained 3 row before i'll start using it!! > > Cya > > Pietro > > (sorry, i don't know anything about suspend to disk/ram, usually i power > off the pc and then i power on it, there are only few moments of > difference, so for me it's not important) |
