Hi,
I've been using MacSSH 2.1fc3 with considerable satisfaction to administer various Linux boxes for a couple of years from a Powerbook running Mac OS 9.0.4.
I recently got a new server and installed SuSE Linux 9.1 which runs openssh 3.8p1-33 out of the box.
I can connect to the new box with ease from Linux terminals and from MacOS 10.3.2's Terminal program, but MacSSH fails.
When I attempted to connect with MacSSH to the new machine I got the unrecognised key "man-in-the-middle" warning, then the window just closes within a second.
The log reads:
lsh: Protocol error: No more auth methods available
lsh: Need real authentication.
I tried switching back to DES encrytion from MD5 on the new box to no avail. I also tried messing with the compression settings in MacSSH. No luck there either.
Any clues?
